AGAPE Launches Relief Operations in Bareth Valley After Devastating Cloudburst

AGAPE commenced its relief operations after the devastating cloudburst that triggered flash floods and landslides in Bareth Valley, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Our team distributed essential supplies—including food, tarpaulins, blankets, flashlights, and women’s sanitation kits—to affected families in this region.

AGAPE, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1980 with the objective of providing education, healthcare and vocational training to the people of Garhwal Hills and other parts of north India. The organization is the brainchild of Mr. Vachan Singh Bhandari who was raised by his widowed mother under extreme poverty. However, his mother strived hard to provide him education that completely transformed his life. Thereafter, he took a resolved to educate the underprivileged children in the Garhwal region. Mr. Bhandari and other like-minded people associated with AGAPE and are working hard to educate the children in the Garhwal region.
